It is reported by HK media that Hong Kong Ocean Park announced on Dec. 13, 2017 that from Jan. 1, 2018, the average ticket price will be up by 9%, with adult daytime ticket and children daytime ticket respectively rising to HKD 480 and HKD 240. Current ticket price remain effective for HK residents until Feb. 28, 2018.

The park also launches a HK resident birthday month discount. In 2018, visitors with HK residents ID will get free admission on the birthday day, and enjoy a 15% discount in birthday month. Every qualified visitor receives a one-off discount with a maximum of 4 tickets.

Official says HK Ocean Park suffers a loss of HKD 234.4 million in 2016/17. The number, smaller than previous years, still indicates a severe business environment. The park has decided to adjust ticket price to relieve the pressure of cost inflation, and to maintain a sustainable development financially.
