On Jan.1, 2018, the 60th anniversary celebration at Guangzhou Zoo begins with the opening of VR zoo, one of the strategic moves in Guangzhou Zoo’s transformation development.

The 1st Phase exhibits including VR dinosaur show, monkey room and science education gallery receive overwhelming welcome after opening. With the aid of VR technology, visitors can watch rare animals and interact with them in virtue world.

These attractions are only part of the total planning. In the future, more development will be put on the agenda including integration of VR technology with animal science research and protection.

Liang Fengyun, director of Guangzhou Zoo, says a revolution is brewing here to improve animal science research and education with high technology, to innovate boldly and transform Guangzhou zoo from a traditional zoo to a modern one.
